HOWDY!
I’m an Honors Communication major at Texas A&M University with a minor in Nonprofit Studies, pursuing a career in media and storytelling. From managing a $300,000 construction budget as CFO of the Non-Profit Texas A&M BUILD, to working in sports media at 12th Man Productions, I combine leadership, strategy, and on-air presence to bring people together.
FEATURED WORK
Womens Basketball Pre-Game Show
Host of the Women’s Basketball Pregame Show throughout the season in front of live fans at Reed Arena, delivering game analysis, player insights, and energy-driven storytelling before tip-off. In addition to on-air hosting, I handled full production responsibilities which included setting up and breaking down the live set, then editing each segment in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for a rapid turnaround to ensure timely, up-to-date content for the Big Screen.
Catching Up With Chris
Co-host of Studio 12 on 1150 The Zone alongside Texas A&M play-by-play commentator Will Johnson, airing every Wednesday. Through sharp analysis, puns, and personality-driven humor, we keep the Aggie community up to date on the latest in Texas A&M athletics, building on the same energetic storytelling style featured in my weekly segment, Catching Up with Chris.
Post-Production | Texas A&M Athletics
Student head of post-production for Texas A&M Equestrian, traveling with the team to produce highlight and feature content throughout the season. Also contribute video editing and production for Texas A&M Men’s and Women’s Golf while assisting with media coverage across additional sports.
About Me
I’m Chris Permetti, a Honors Communication major with a minor in Non-Profit studies student at Texas A&M University with a passion for storytelling, sports, and service. I believe the people make the place, and Texas A&M has given me an environment where I’ve been able to grow, take on challenges, and develop the skills and relationships that shape who I am today.
Through 12th Man Productions, Texas A&M Athletics’ in-house broadcast team, I’ve gained hands-on experience working in sports media across a wide range of Aggie athletics. From operating cameras and assisting in directing broadcasts to editing and producing content, I’ve learned how to work in fast-paced environments where teamwork, preparation, and creativity all matter. Being part of the storytelling behind Aggie sports has strengthened my love for media and reinforced how powerful great storytelling can be.
I’m also deeply involved in Texas A&M BUILD, a student-led nonprofit that unites the Aggie student body through the construction of Texas Aggie Medical Clinics for communities in need. Serving in leadership has allowed me to work closely with donors, alumni, and students while helping advance a mission that creates real, tangible impact. BUILD has shown me how meaningful service can bring people together and how leadership can turn ideas into lasting change.
No matter the role, working broadcasts, hosting segments like Catching Up with Chris, or helping lead a nonprofit initiative, I approach every opportunity with energy, curiosity, and a strong work ethic. I enjoy learning every side of the process, from production and editing to storytelling and communication.
Looking ahead, I hope to build a career in either the media world or nonprofit space, where I can combine creativity, leadership, and storytelling to make a positive impact. Whether it’s through sports media, entertainment, or mission-driven organizations, my goal is to create work that connects people, shares meaningful stories, and makes others smile along the way.
