HOWDY!

I’m a Honors Communication major at Texas A&M University pursuing a career in media and storytelling. Through my work with 12th Man Productions, I’ve developed experience in hosting, production, and editing, combining on-air presence with creative storytelling to engage and connect audiences.

FEATURED WORK

Womens Basketball Pre-Game Show

Host of the Women’s Basketball Pregame Show throughout the season in front of live fans at Reed Arena, delivering game analysis, player insights, and energy-driven storytelling before tip-off. In addition to on-air hosting, I handled full production responsibilities which included setting up and breaking down the live set, then editing each segment in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for a rapid turnaround to ensure timely, up-to-date content for the Big Screen.

Catching Up With Chris

Co-host of Studio 12 on 1150 The Zone alongside Texas A&M play-by-play commentator Will Johnson, airing every Wednesday. Through sharp analysis, puns, and personality-driven humor, we keep the Aggie community up to date on the latest in Texas A&M athletics, building on the same energetic storytelling style featured in my weekly segment, Catching Up with Chris.

Post-Production | Texas A&M Athletics

Student head of post-production for Texas A&M Equestrian, traveling with the team to produce highlight and feature content throughout the season. Also contribute video editing and production for Texas A&M Men’s and Women’s Golf while assisting with media coverage across additional sports.

About Me

I’m Chris Permetti, an Honors Communication major with a minor in Nonprofit Studies at Texas A&M University with a passion for storytelling, sports, and entertainment. I believe the people make the place, and Texas A&M has given me an environment where I’ve been able to grow, take on challenges, and develop the skills that are shaping my path in media.

Through 12th Man Productions, Texas A&M Athletics’ in-house broadcast team, I’ve gained hands-on experience working in sports media across a wide range of Aggie athletics. From operating cameras and assisting in directing broadcasts to editing and producing content, I’ve learned how to thrive in fast-paced environments where teamwork, preparation, and creativity all matter. Being part of the storytelling behind Aggie sports has strengthened my passion for media and shown me the impact great content can have on an audience.

In addition to production roles, I’ve had the opportunity to be on-air, hosting segments like Catching Up with Chris, where I combine humor, personality, and sports storytelling to connect with the Aggie community. These experiences have helped me grow as both a creator and communicator, while continuing to refine my voice in front of the camera.

Looking ahead, my goal is to build a career in media and entertainment, ideally working in sports or comedic storytelling. Whether it’s on-air, behind the scenes, or creating original content, I want to be in a role where I can bring energy, creativity, and authenticity to storytelling, creating content that connects with people, builds community, and makes others smile.
